Veteran of the Great Patriotic War, soloist of the Alexandrov Ensemble, artist of the Mosconcert. He gained widespread fame for his portrayal of Buba Kastorsky in the films "The Elusive Avengers" and "The New Adventures of the Elusive." After his arrest in 1973 (later fully acquitted), his career in the USSR was virtually destroyed. In 1979, Sichkin emigrated to the United States, where he continued his creative work, performing, recording albums, and appearing in films (Permanent Residence, Nixon). Two of his albums were released in the United States: "Benefit on Brighton Beach" (1982) "New Intelligent Odessa Songs" (1984) Both are available on the ProPesni channel. 🔹 Books and Heritage Boris Sichkin is the author of two memoirs. In 2025, Zebra-E Publishing House published a book by Alex Singal and me, "Boris Sichkin: From Prison to Hollywood," which includes memoirs by Sichkin and his friends—Villi Tokarev, Mikhail Shufutinsky, Viktor Kosykh, and others.
