Massive Freight Train Takes off After 3 Other Trains Pass!
I saw these four freight trains on March 1, 2026 near Monica, IL. I was there waiting for a massive westbound intermodal parked on Main 2 with 6 engines up front, to take off. While we were waiting, three eastbound intermodals wasted no time flying by one after the other - and then the beast finally headed west, rumbling right by us as it did! There were MRL SD 70ACe Blue Pullers on the first train that passed, AND on the waiting westbound intermodal! This was one of my favorite days filming trains because my 11 y/o daughter was with me.
