In early 2026, a record-breaking winter transformed northern Japan into a frozen wonderland. Join me as I travel through a strikingly beautiful, snow-covered Hokkaido in the peak of winter. As someone who really likes the snow, it's a trip I hope to repeat again in the future. I know the conditions shown here might look intimidating, but I hope this doesn’t deter viewers — the heavy snow is exactly what makes Hokkaido magical. These colorful staples are becoming less common and before they become hard to find, I made it a point to capture them during my trip.
