Materials and construction: For our tubes, we used the best material available for antenna construction: an aluminum, magnesium, and silicon alloy called AW6063-T66, tempered to the T-66 state. This gives the whip exceptional strength, achieved through extrusion and then cold-drawn. Extremely robust in construction, the central whip uses tubes with a diameter of 42x2mm at the base and a diameter of 19x1.25mm at the tip, while the side stubs and ground plane radials are made of telescopic tubes with a diameter of 13mm and 10mm. The ground plane consists of four horizontal radials approximately 2.7 m long, and the vertical stubs are held in place by three cross-braces. The first, connected to the base of the whip, is made of CNC-machined rectangular aluminum tubes, and the other two are made of thermoplastic material: one with four arms in the middle and one with two arms at the top. All hardware is made of stainless steel; the tubes are secured with sturdy, high-quality AIS-316 stainless steel clamps. The brackets, hardware, and U-bolts and V-bolts are made of AIS-304 stainless steel.
