What I Learned Working a 9 to 5 Selling Cruises
Back in 2008-2010, I did sales for Norwegian Cruise Line. I wore a suit every day to work and spent the entire day making sales calls, with the goal of making 150+ calls per day. It was my first real job after college and a short stint in professional baseball, and taught me a lot about sales, hard work, and navigating corporate culture. Many of the lessons I learned in those 2 years at NCL have stuck with me to this day. I overcame my fear of selling, while learning how to listen to customers. I learned that there is a lot of money and abundance in this world, and it isn't my job (especially in sales) to project my personal beliefs about money onto others. I learned what it took to become a top performer, and that it's a lot easier to stay at the top then it is to ascend there. ***** In the comments, let me know what former job that you've had that has had the most impact on you as a coach/gym owner.
