Ranking every best picture nomination in history was the project that got me excited to start this channel. Watching and ranking all 621 of these films is a ridiculous idea -- but that's the point! Nonsensical fun and an education in film history at the same time. In this episode, we start with the 1st Academy Awards and rank all six of its Best Picture Nominees! 1929 kinda cooks as it turns out. I talk about each film: Wings. Chang. The Crowd. The Racket. Sunrise. 7th Heaven. After that, I add them all to an official tier list. AND LASTLY, I'll give this year an average score based on my rankings for all six nominees.
