Play the board game "DETECTIVE: DIG DEEPER" (1 to 5 players, ages 16+, 90 to 120 minutes) Sunday, May 30, 1977. The weather is unusually fine—though you won't be able to enjoy it. You've been called into work and sent to investigate a case in Arlington, a "big village" on the outskirts of Boston. Your Corvette literally flies along the empty road, the Eagles playing on the radio. Immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the turbulent 1970s and solve the crime! Dig Deeper is the first case in the "Author's Series" of expansions to the Detective game. It was developed by Rob Dovew, author of over 80 board games, best known in Russia for his Pandemic Legacy series. Travel to Boston in 1977 and try to find out who is behind the death of a local politician. Remember: you only have four days to complete the investigation. After that, the local authorities will hand the case over to the police—and most likely, they'll hush it up. You don't want the killer to go unpunished, do you? This case isn't just another mystery you have to solve, but also a completely new interrogation mechanic on the Antares website. Now you decide what questions to ask. It's entirely up to you which direction the investigation will take. Enter a keyword (for example, "knife") and find out what the person in front of you is willing to talk about. Maybe they don't know anything about knives at all? You'll have to approach the matter from a different angle. Just remember: interrogation time is limited. Ask three questions, and the witness is dismissed. Getting information in this case is also more difficult than usual. No internet—it's 1977! If you want to find out something important, call the library—perhaps hippie Gary will tell you something useful in three hours.
