Let's Analyze Dynomite Deluxe - Part 2: Endless World of Dinos

We've gone through the tutorial, and now we can begin the game proper. There are four different game modes we can choose: Endless, Stomped, Fossil Challenge, and Time Trial. This time around, we tackle the Endless Puzzle. In Endless mode, eggs are constantly being spawned from the top of the screen and moving down, and you simply try to clear them out, going until you either lose or quit. Also, every minute (literally, almost exactly 60 seconds), the timer runs out, and a dinosaur called Whirley flies up from the bottom carrying an egg color that is not in the puzzle. (The egg colors always follow a specific order.) You can either let him add the new color, or you can shoot him down, which will keep the color count the same but make the puzzle speed up a little. Whirley himself also speeds up the more times he spawns with the same color. I'm not a big fan of Endless Mode because of the way it works, how there's no real goal beyond trying for a high score or keeping up for as long as possible, how nerve-wracking it is because you're constantly on your toes and having to shoot quickly, and especially how easily you can get completely screwed over if the RNG decides to spawn the wrong egg colors. Furthermore, I've never bothered to try for the highest rank in Endless; even with save-scumming, it's hard as heck to get a decent number of points (especially in Easy mode, where the point multipliers for eggs are ridiculously low). But I suppose it is what it is.
