In Cuttack Choudwar, nearly 40 Puja mandaps come alive with beautifully crafted idols of Goddess Durga, Lord Shiva, Goddess Laxmi, Lord Krishna, and Lord Hanuman, all worshipped with great devotion. The Choudwar Rupa Yatra marks the beginning of the grand celebrations that follow Cuttack’s famous Durga Puja. Soon after, the town gears up for the historic Choudwar Laxmi Puja or Kumar Purnima Yatra — a festival known for its vibrant atmosphere. During these days, the entire town glows with colorful lights and decorations, while melodies and orchestra performances add to the festive spirit.
