The Van Railway Station & Caersws Cambrian Railway Station
A look around the former Van Railway Station in Caersws, Powys as well as the current Caersws Station. The Van Railway was built to serve lead mines in the Welsh village of Van, and connected to the mainline in the village of Caersws. It was open between 1871 and 1940 and had a very short lived passenger service between 1873 and 1879. Caersws Station was on the Cambrian line from Newtown to Machynlleth. It opened in 1864. The Welsh poet John Ceiriog Hughes was manager of The Van Railway between 1868 and 1887. If you enjoy the video please give it a like or hype, and subscribe to the channel.
