Whats up guys? Today we are talking about How To Get Colorful GTAW / TIG Welds on Stainless steel tube and other materials. This can relate to the automotive Fabrication industry when it comes to exhausts and turbo kits. Lately the popularity of Pie Cut exhausts and Colorful Tig Welds has shot through the roof in the TIG Welding Industry. People have came to love the look and feel behind these Turbo Kits and Stainless Steel Exhausts.. In many industries Oxidation is not acceptable.. It is either not allowed On Tig Welded parts or the Oxidation must be removed with Passivation.. Basically an electrified rainbow removal wand. I will Explain how Oxidation works and how you will be able to Achieve pretty colors in your decently long runs on Stainless Steel without harming the structure of Alloy. Oxidation exists where we can see it or not but the thickness of that layer determines the color when it comes to light transmission. Over heating your Stainless Tube and Causing it to Be heat soaked when Welding can cause some serious issues with Oxidation and far worse things. Always be cautious about your amperage and try your best to move with an Adequate Welding Travel speed. Make sure you allow your material to cool when welding to avoid any damage to the part in some cases..Argon doesn't make up for excessive heat in the weld pool. This is key to keeping the material as cool as possible to achieve successful Colored or Colorless Tig Welds in the process of Gas Tungsten Arc Welding. Gas lens kits have really revolutionized the welding world and there isn't anything wrong with small cups..
