On this trip to Las Vegas, we decided to step well outside our comfort zone and take a sunrise helicopter flight over the Hoover Dam and deep into the Grand Canyon. Starting just after sunrise on the Las Vegas Strip, we fly out over the desert as the city fades away behind us. From the air, the Hoover Dam looks even more impressive, with Lake Mead stretching out in the soft morning light. Then, almost without warning, the ground disappears, and the Grand Canyon opens up beneath us — vast, dramatic, and impossible to truly capture on camera. This isn’t a polished luxury review.
