This video also gave me the chance to do a deep dive in the technical aspects of squishy materials. Most soft silicones are sold for mold-making or replicating skin. So if you're browsing for industrial products then you want the ones labelled "Shore 00" or super soft/skin textured. Silicone-based polymers are usually fairly stable and can be mixed with oil, water or dry pigments/glitter without any problems. However I encountered the first messy reaction in this video by mixing silicone with a water based latex sealant.
