This Alabama State Park is the highest RV campground in Alabama. Sitting on top on Cheaha Mountain you can clearly see the Talladega National Forest. Cheaha State Park Campground is off of hwy 281 and about a 25-minute drive to Oxford, Alabama. Your vehicle or phone navigation should get you there without any issues but keep in mind cell service is not very good. (We hear T-Moble service is ok) We parked our 189R Retro Travel Trailer on the upper campground then hit the trails to explore the area. We do our usual campground drive thru and site walk around, and we also share some of the fun things we did. We hiked several of trails located inside of Cheaha State Park and one other trail just ten minutes south off of hwy 281 called Cheaha Falls. This state park is impressive, even the Cheaha State Park primitive camping area. I can go on but you should check out our video for better details.
