State's readiness for Bester trial questioned
The state's readiness to go to trial in the Thabo Bester escape case has been called into question after it shared new evidence with the defence. A new trial date was set in a virtual court sitting on 13 January, which pushed the trial date to July. Newly presented information from the state will now form part of the docket.
