Fermenting Chicken Feed In 5 Gallon Bucket
Here's a quick run through of how I ferment feed for my 300+ chickens. The best thing I have found about fermenting feed is my egg production goes WAY up. I use a 6 bucket system so I have enough for all of my chickens, 2 buckets each day. ⏱️⏱️Chapters⏱️⏱️ 00:00 Have 300+ chickens, so 2 5 gallon buckets each day 00:30 You'll need 3 days worth of containers 00:40 Need to let the water set for 24 hours to get rid of the chlorine 00:55 How much feed to water is something you'll have to experiment with 01:05 What the first day looks like 01:35 Makes feed go further and increases egg production 02:00 How I manage to stir 5 gallon buckets of feed without killing my arms 02:45 If you don't have that many chickens you can use a quart jar, or something smaller 03:00 How much my egg production increases 03:35 I will do a updated video when I know how much this expands my feed 🙏 Subscribe, 👍, it helps a lot!! ➤❓/ 💬: [email protected] ➤➤I get a little for the channel-no charge for you if you use the links: ➤➤Shop Amazon https://amzn.to/3CxD1T4 ➤➤Chickens Supplies https://a.co/8zehoAb ➤➤Services We use ➤➤Bitchute https://www.bitchute.com/accounts/ref... ➤➤MORNINGFA·ME https://morningfa.me/invite/ChickensF... ➤➤A2 Hosting http://www.a2hosting.com/refer/140244 ➤➤Tubebuddy https://www.tubebuddy.com/StraightArr... ➤➤Apsumo http://fbuy.me/v/philbridges ➤➤VidIQ: https://vidiq.com/straightarrowrepair Instagram / chickensforchicks Newsletter https://artisanal-leader-9310.ck.page... So you see, these two five gallon buckets are my fermenting. And you can see right there, I put in by our three one gallon containers of feed. And you'll have to just measure for yours. I have moved. I think it was like a week, week and a half ago. I went from doing just one bucket because I've got too many chickens to doing the two. And you do it for three days. Also over here. You see, I have this water set in here. You want to let your water sit for 24 hours so that you get any of the bleach or anything out of it. You don't want to use tap water unless you have something that cleans sterilizes your tap water, but you let the water sit out for 24 hours and then you're going to dump enough in there. You can see right here. here's the one I started today. Little say, I've got a little bit over it, and when it's done, it'll swell up. That’s day one. This has been two days. And this right here. I will be feeding tomorrow. You can see how it's puffed up and everything. The one thing I have learned about it, not only does it make your feed go further, but it helps with your egg production. I'm on my polish and my other breeds that are rare breeds, and they don't lay very much. Within a week of starting this, they started laying again and they're laying much heavier. It increases all my eggs, increases the health of the birds. But and here's another thing. My husband came up with this because when you're in a five gallon bucket like that, I am a little woman. I stand about five foot one and I weigh about 130 lbs. That is hard to stir. And if you don't stir at what happens is it gets disgusting on the bottom and you don't want to feed your chickens that. It'll make them sick. But my husband took a drill at one of his drills. It's a plug in one, so he doesn't use it that often on the job site and put this beater on it. And that is how I make up the four minute feeds I get. Again, if you're just getting started or you don't have that many chickens, you can start out in a quart jar. You could probably use a jar like this. You want to cover it? Not tight, but kind of like this. You just want it covered. Otherwise it'll get nasty. There'll be bugs in it. But it's always surprising to me how quickly my eggs go up. I went from getting trying to think. I think I was getting 40 or 50 eggs a day too. I'm averaging about a hundred eggs a day and this is only the second week of this. I will come back. Oh, gotta have chickens. There's. My baby's hatching. I will come back and tell you the results when I know about how much this spreads. This expands my food bill. But I know at least I'm using at least a third less feed between the sprouts and the fermented. And anyways, it's an easy system, so thank you very much. Have a great day.
