Animals, leaves, branches, and flowers, sometimes symmetrically, sometimes asymmetrically, possess a vitality that seems to capture a single moment of life, coloring the vessels. Looking at Makoto Kagoshima's painted plates, one feels an indescribable sense of comfort. Why do Kagoshima's vessels have such charm? Is it art, or is it a practical item? What thoughts are going through Kagoshima's mind when he creates his works?
