Case Study: Stencil Cleaning - Tech 2 Tech

High-tech, high-value cleaning answers made easy. In this session, Delai Tena, Technical Service Engineer at KYZEN shares a case study on stencil cleaning- specifically the difference between using IPA versus KYZEN’s E5631J Solution. Delai begins by explaining that a customer was unhappy with their results using IPA for under-stencil cleaning in all printers. A high volume of defects, scrap, rework and production interruption was reported. The objectives of this study were: To optimize the underside stencil cleaning process in a screen printer Evaluate engineered chemistry for stencil cleaning Increase prints between cleanings Reduce defects. Delai then walks through the steps of the study, and the results which show how an engineered stencil cleaning chemistry can increase print counts between wipes, boost yields from 98.77% to 99.93%, and cut defects from 24 to just 2 per shift. The real production results from NPM printers show reduced rework and scrap, lower overall costs, and decreased chemistry and paper usage. He concludes with answering some frequently asked questions about the disadvantages of using IPA, how to choose the correct chemistry to replace IPA, and costs associated with using an engineered cleaning chemistry over IPA. :11 Intro to KYZEN’s Tech2Tech series and Delai Tena :34 Stencil Cleaning Case Study :56 Cleaning Options 1:21 Objective 1:52 Actual Procedure 2:43 Stencil Cleaning Results After Use of IPA 3:34 Let’s Replace IPA with…KYZEN E5631J 4:27 Stencil Cleaning Results After Use of E5631J 4:43 Results 6:01 Conclusion 6:54 frequently Asked Questions 10:11 Outro FAQ: https://tinyurl.com/36m66p8r Website: https://Kyzen.com Twitter: https://bit.ly/3Q0UpX6 LinkedIn: https://bit.ly/3RoMFPJ Speaker Bio:   / dalai-tena-86570bb9   Subscribe to our YouTube: https://bit.ly/3TpxrMr #KYZENclean #Tech2Tech #stencilCleaning #KYZENE5631J
