"CRYING" (Roy Orbison) - Johnny Contardo 4/13/24 with *STANDING OVATION*
As originally sung by Roy Orbison, and covered by Johnny Contardo, the former lead singer of the band ShaNaNa from 1971-1983 -- who also starred in the number one TV show, ShaNaNa, which ran from 1977-1983. THIS PERFORMANCE WAS GIVEN A STANDING OVATION at the following performance: Johnny Contardo hosted a 90-minute concert on 4/13/24 in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, at the Myrtle Beach Performing Arts Center, backed by local band The Vistas - who also opened for this former lead singer of ShaNaNa. Johnny's appearance helped to raise funds for the Loris Senior Center with the Horry County Council on Aging, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit charity. Fans were treated to a set list of hits from the 1950s and 1960s -- Johnny's speciality -- and included classics that he covered in his time as lead singer of the world-renowned ShaNaNa band from 1971-1983 as well as Johnny's special contribution to the Platinum-award winning soundtrack to the movie, "GREASE": "Those Magic Changes." I do not own rights to this music *
