Especially this month of pride. Every Friday at AMAH we invite a DJ to curate the vibes and invite you to bear witness with us once more as the sun sets. House music has a rich history with selfexpression, freedom and communal gathering About Yanfssss aka Ayanfe Olarinde, a self-trained visual artist from Nigeria merges sound, photography, and scribbles to craft intricate, multi-layered art pieces. Through her work, she explores and drives conversations around self- image, identity, social realities, collective history, and mental health, while probing popular culture. As an evocative artist influenced by her passage through life, her oeuvre has evolved to include works in sound design and DJing. Yanfssss piqued interest in incorporating sound with her art in 2023 during her solo exhibition. She has since then been fascinated by experimenting with diverse sounds to understand the psychology of her subjects/audience depending on which canvas she’s creating on, a physical sheet or a live scene. Fusing eclectic influences from EDM to experimental sounds, she creates immersive soundscapes that transport listeners on a journey beyond the ordinary.
