In this series, I have taken previously published layout tours and re-processed them with better color correction, better thumbnails, better stills, improved sound, much better music, and in some cases, scenes that have never been seen before! The San Leandro Historical Railway Society maintains and preserves the historic San Leandro Southern Pacific Depot in San Leandro, CA at Thrasher Park. In addition to their mission of historical preservation, the group also participates in community outreach on behalf of Operation Lifesaver, the railroad safety organization. Inside the historic depot, resides a railroad layout that was designed by famous layout designer John Armstrong. The design was published in the March, 1998 issue of Model Railroader magazine.
