BR in the 1990s London Waterloo Station on 12th September 1995 (Seen from top of Canterbury Flats)
BRITISH RAILWAYS IN THE 1990's London Waterloo Station on 12th September 1995 (Filmed from Canterbury House Flats in Upper Marsh) Continuing with my archive of video recording between the years of 1986 to 2001 this clip is of London Waterloo Station taken from the balconies of what was then residential flats of Canterbury House in Upper Marsh. With the kind permission of the residents there this location offered a rare view of the station and also The Eurostar terminal on the old Windsor side. At this time the Eurostar services were running between London and Paris, Lille and Brussels. The GWR were running the occasional short lived HST services for the West country out of Waterloo. Amongst all the old slam door stock seen were a pair of class 73s on a track test train, so this was a truly great unique perspective on the station. I hope the video takes you back to this period with fond memories. Feel free to comment, good or bad, all comments are read and greatly appreciated, but it is not always possible to answer each individually. Sit back and enjoy this latest production remembering all those now long gone Locomotive classes and other types of traction. Many thanks for all subscriptions and all of those viewers who have kindly shown an interest in my material.
