Midtown Madness 2 | All Circuit Races (NP) - 46:39 [Former WR]

Since you don't have the Panoz GTR-1 unlocked, the typical go-to car is the Panoz Roadster, which is the 2nd fastest vehicle in the game. However, it is notoriously unstable. Kudos to Niloqui, the previous world record holder, for his patience during this run:    • Midtown Madness 2, All Circuit Races - 50:...   The next fastest vehicles are the Aston Martin DB7, the VW Beetle RSI, and the Audi TT, all of which are locked at the start of the game. But you know what isn't locked? The Ford Mustang Fastback. It may be over 40 mph slower in the straights, but there's not that many races where it's a real factor. It it's extremely consistent elsewhere - in fact, it may be the fastest car capable of doing Hit or Miss without needing a reset (something I realized during the run haha). I decided to give it a go with it, not thinking I'd realistically have a shot. Somehow I gained 3 and a half minutes. This is very interesting actually, because the other option that may be faster would be wasting 4.5 minutes at the start to unlock the GTR-1. If I add up the times for this from my All Races WR run (6 checkpoints + All Circuits), I get around 47:07, which is less than 30 seconds slower than this run. With a really good run, this may be possible to beat with it. Otherwise, the Mustang might legit be the way to go. Overall, pretty good run, with a few decent-sized mistakes I'd say a 46:15 is do-able with the Mustang.
