Litter of English Springer Spaniel Pups. Assessing natural Prey Drive @ 6 weeks old with live birds.
The latest additions to the @WhitewaterGundogs kennel family. This litter is a product of our FC HRCH Whitewaters Tomahawk "Hawk" and Whitewaters Wind Wryder "Wryndy". As with all of our litters we introduce the pups to live birds at between 6 and 7 weeks of age. As Rob explains, he wants to see what the pups do with that first reaction to the unique smells, sounds and movement of live birds. That natural, "fresh out of the box" prey drive is what we are looking for. This is the first litter for this particular pairing, Hawk and Maddie (Wryndy's full sister) have produced Rathe, Maverick, Ziggy, Dahlia and Callie that you have seen on our page. And, not surprising, this litter is showing that their parents traits are shining through just as they have with previous litters. There is nothing quite as fun as watching their excitement as all the traits so instinctive to this breed turn on! All but Lime have forever families that they will be going to in the next couple of weeks, hoping we will be able to keep in touch and watch as this little group of fireballs grows up.
