Somewhere a voice is calling Edisondisc (Edison Vintage Music)
Preserving the Legacy of an Edison Disc This is the C-19 model, the Chippendale. Produced between 1914 and 1924, these models were known for their intricate designs and expensive production costs. Unlike the Victrola, the Edison Disc Phonograph played records with grooves that modulated up-and-down, tracked by a permanent diamond stylus. To avoid patent infringements, Edison implemented a gear-drive system that added complexity and cost to the manufacturing process. If you'd like to support the channel and help with Edison maintenance and the acquisition of new diamond discs, donations are warmly welcomed through Cash App: $susansedison Your support helps keep this piece of history alive and playing beautiful music for future generations to enjoy. Let’s make priceless memories together. Please feel free to like and subscribe.
