Also includes an interview with Ray Cane and record versions of Scarlet Lady and How long? for comparison. The BBC versions do not appear to be on any albums or records. There is no sign of the Top Gear sessions. There are seven earlier BBC songs including Maggie and Girl of Independent means on the "She Flies like a bird" anthology. Details: 1. I much prefer the BBC version of Scarlet lady which is a favorite BBC song. The BBC had a studio orchestra available, which does this song proud. (also appears on Blackpool rock) The pace is more up tempo and the fixed ending much preferred. These songs were initially released to radio stations on BBC Transcription vinyls 201 and 220.
