The origin of the word came from a beautiful woman named Esmeralda. The director of Tubium, Mr. Akira Toda, said he was looking for new compositions that would extend and develop the euphonium tuba ensemble repertoire; it became the inspiration for this composition. It has more lyrical phrases than my previous composition “Rhapsody” and it concludes very much like my music. I hope this piece will be performed for many occasions such as concert, contest, or even for fun. (Satoshi Yagisawa)
