The Chilean Air Force (Fach) arrived there to conduct war games with the state's National Guard, testing the latest F-16s purchased by our country in simulated combat. The idea was to test the three aircraft that traveled from the Iquique air base to the Texas National Guard so that Chilean Air Force pilots could compete and train with their world-class American counterparts. According to the Chilean Air Force, these types of exercises also serve to prevent accidents and provide technical knowledge to maintain exceptional, yet visible, aircraft. The trip to the United States was the longest these F-16s have ever made, lasting nine hours.
