Gianfranco Ferré presented his Autumn/Winter 1999 collection at Milan Fashion Week, showcasing designs influenced by his architectural background. The collection included quilted jackets, origami-inspired silk blouses with oversized cuffs, and asymmetrical high stand collars. Materials ranged from silk, leather, and knit to fur, with decorative elements such as fur trims, feathers, and intricate embroidery featured on coats and floor-length dresses. The show closed with dark gray gowns with slightly varied cuts and floor-length plaid trains. Accessories included colored velvet pumps, calf-length boots, and leather opera gloves.
