Truk Lagoon Ep 14: San Francisco! (The Million Dollar Ship)
The one and only, the San Francisco Maru! The San Francisco Maru, a WWII Japanese transport ship sunk during Operation Hailstone in February 1944, now rests upright at around 50-62 m (165-205 ft) in the waters of Chuuk Lagoon. Its decks and holds remain loaded with tanks, trucks, mines, torpedoes and more — earning it the nickname ‘Million Dollar Wreck. It’s my favorite wreck in Chuuk — and alongside the Thistlegorm in the Red Sea, one of my top two WWII dives. @divesoft_tv @GoPro @BigblueDiveLights
