Three criminal defense attorneys were followed by cameras for a year. They provide exclusive insights into five of their cases, ranging from thefts of millions of dollars to murder. The series showcases the work of defense attorneys Burkhard Benecken and Hans Reinhardt, as well as their colleague Pantea Farahzadi, who is one of the few female attorneys specializing in criminal law. Some of their cases have made headlines, some are highly emotional, especially when it comes to representing family members. The three defense attorneys fight for their clients – for innocent people, but also for convicted serious criminals. But how far will they go? And what is fair? In episode 1, defense attorney Hans Reinhardt represents Dominik S., who became a murderer in 2020.
