250 years ago today, thirteen colonies declared they'd rather die free than live ruled. This is a story mix for a pilot who made the same choice nine centuries from now, Tyra Miraborg of the Free Rasalhague Republic. The Free Rasalhague Republic was born from its own Declaration of Independence: a free people carved out of the Inner Sphere who refused to be anyone's subjects. And when the Clans came out of the deep dark in 3050, an invader with better technology, better 'Mechs, and the cold certainty that resistance was pointless, Rasalhague stood directly in their path. This set is the story of what one of its daughters did about that. Tyra was an aerospace pilot. She watched the sky fill with an enemy no sane calculation said she could beat, and she flew at it anyway. In her final flight she pointed her fighter into the heart of the Clan armada and refused to turn away, buying her people time, and her memory a legend. Rasalhague fell. Tyra never surrendered. And a nation that lost its worlds kept its soul because of pilots like her. I built this mix to move the way her story moves, the quiet resolve of a people who chose freedom, the rising dread of an invasion that can't be stopped, the full-throttle defiance of a last flight, and the stillness afterward where a soldier becomes a myth.
