The eight-episode series takes a first-of-its-kind look at the world of polyamory, following the lives of five wildly different polycules, interconnected groups of people in polyamorous relationships. As they build lives and families outside traditional norms, the series dives into the emotional realities of jealousy, commitment, communication and trust, testing every rule of love and redefining what it means to be a family. From Redding, CA, introduced in the season premiere of “Love After Lockup,” Kami and Trent are a married couple who come from a very strict religious background, with their friends and family unaware of their new lifestyle as a polycule with Nita. As they plan a commitment ceremony to their “forever” with Nita, the throuple must decide how to tell their loved ones about their relationship and face the reactions that come with it—from outsiders and from within their polycule. Aries from UB caught up with the Power Throuple to talk all things “This is Polly.” Kami, Trent and Nita spill on their union and how it came to be.
