In 2001, he was awarded "SKATER OF THE YEAR" by the skateboarding magazine "Wheel magazine." His part in the video "CMYK," released by Three's film works in 2002, won "2002 BEST VIDEO PART" by the skateboarding magazine "TRANSWORLD SKATEBOARDING JAPAN" that year. The following year, he was awarded the magazine's "2003 STREET SKATER OF THE YEAR." He has since served as an ambassador for numerous hardware and bearing brand launches. He has also long supported the shoe brand "Emerica," appearing in the international section of their promotional videos "This is Skateboarding" and "Stay Gold." What is Kumatore? This is the "How to Skateboard" channel hosted by longtime professional skateboarder Akaguma Hironori. Skateboarding is as diverse as the people who skate!
