In the tradition of Maracatu Rural, an ancestral and rich culture of the Zona da Mata Norte region of Pernambuco, the official opening of Carnival always takes place on Sundays, at the respective headquarters of each group, with the ceremony of the "Call of the Caboclos," in which the whistle master improvises verses to invite all members of the group to perform. Here is a record of the beginning of this beautiful spectacle, on this occasion in the iconic, magical terreiro (sacred space) of the centennial Cambinda Brasileira, in Engenho Cumbe, rural area of ​​the municipality of Nazaré da Mata. On the whistles are master Anderson Miguel and assistant master Davi, and the caboclos (male dancers) recorded here are the children Iure, Abílio, and then André Luiz (Junior Mago), Gabriel, and Riquelme.
