  / thecriminalhistorian   Assassinations, gang wars and cover ups, tonight we examine a district of Liberty City’s Staunton Island that is no stranger to violence. An otherwise unassuming neighborhood which has seen numerous thefts, murders and conspiracies over the years thanks to its connection to several organized crime outfits and the always corrupted mayor’s office. We will document the nitty-gritty goings on of an area that has been connected to Yakuza and uptown yardies, as well as both the Forelli and Leone Crime families. A place so overshadowed by the many turf disputes and acts of Brutality which took place there, that one has to wonder how any average Liberty City resident continues to call it home; Newport.
