Inside the Sculptor's Studio: Cyrille André

We recently visited Cyrille André at his studio in Marseilles, France, and produced a short film as part of our video series spotlighting Sculpturesite Gallery artists: Inside the Sculptor's Studio. “My work is shaped by current events,” says André, in a recent interview with Sculpturesite Gallery’s owners Brigitte Micmacker and John Denning. “My sculptures reflect our society and may evoke difficult subjects, such as solitude, suffering or the passage from life to death. But even when they are colossal, they are always benevolent.” Sculpturesite Gallery is pleased to present an exclusive online exhibition of Cyrille André’s sculpture, including an impressive range of works in wood, resin, fur over resin, bronze and aluminum, and polyester resin. This is André’s first time being represented by a US gallery, although he has been shown at major international art fairs in Miami and Chicago. His work can be found in many European and American private, corporate and public collections.
