The Eagles latest trade news is back to Josh Sweat, as Bleacher Report dropped a ridiculous idea to trade Jalen Carter to the Arizona Cardinals for Josh Sweat and a 2027 2nd-round pick. Carter is widely considered one of the top young defensive players in the entire NFL, and I think this trade idea immediately falls flat because the Birds were rumored to have shut down offers for Myles Garret and Micah Parsons in the past that included Carter. Sweat, however, could still be an option for the Birds and Howie Roseman once the NFL Trade Deadline gets here and the Cardinals are bad. Only then would the Eagles know for sure if sending picks to Arizona for Sweat would make sense.
