Angio-Seal is a vascular closure device (medical device) used to close the femoral artery puncture site and speed up the time to hemostasis in patients who have had diagnostic angiography or interventional procedures. This device improves patient comfort, frees up resources for medical staff, and reduce the amount of time needed for hemostasis, ambulation, and discharge. It is characterized by having 3 bioabsorbable materials actively seal the arteriotomy. These materials help in the healing process by temporarily restoring functionality in specific locations before being absorbed into the body, and without leaving a trace.
