Our child is in his fourth year of university, and we were finally looking forward to enjoying some quality time together. This happened just as we were entering our 50s, the second half of our lives, and I never dreamed that the option of "living apart" would come up. To be honest, I still feel lonely and anxious. But I'm trying to look at it positively, thinking of this as a "new challenge" given to us by God, a time for us to grow and become more independent. My honest feelings when I heard the sudden order to work away from home. My anxieties and expectations about living apart. How to stay "happy" as a couple from now on. I've shared these things honestly.
