Treatment for OCD is evidence-based and involves Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which is Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy. This must be accompanied by medication. OCD cannot be cured, because the word "cure" in medicine refers to eliminating a disease. However, in Mental Health, we cannot speak of a cure, since these are mental disorders. In the case of OCD, we speak of recovery, and through treatment, full recovery can be achieved. That is, the patient will be able to live a normal life without presenting symptoms. Relapses may occur, but they can be controlled through what they learned in Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy.
