Testing a Smartphone Radiation Shield
I came across a device that claims to shield your head from the radiation from your phone without impairing the phone's performance and decided to test it to see if it worked as claimed. The radiation shield does work, reducing the detected radiation level by more than 75%, but only on the side of your phone that is facing away from your head, and it does impair the ability of the phone to connect to a phone tower when the signal is weak. In summary: 1. Mobile phone radiation does not pose a health hazard. There's nothing to worry about. 2. If you're still worried, don't waste money on a radiation shield. Use a headset.
