This is Theyyam, one of India’s most mind-blowing festivals, hidden deep in the temples of Kerala. I spent 5 nights around Kannur in South India, filming and photographing various Theyyam rituals with the new Sony Alpha 1 Mark II, pushing its low-light capabilities to the limit. Theyyam isn't just a festival - it's an ancient and intense ritual in which performers are transformed into gods, their eyes burning through the flames.
