Hooning a Ferrari RACE CAR on PUBLIC ROADS!

There are road cars that are made to be like race cars, and then there are actual, real race cars, and this is one of those, a Ferrari 458 Challenge! @cyber.garage owns this crazy thing with full racing chassis, seats, cage, and bodywork that he's crazy enough to have put a license plate on. Let's go have some fun... With the California sunshine out in force, and a car that served its former life on the track in the Ferrari Challenge series, it's time to see what this is about. To get started though, this means moving some of the cars outside of Cyber Garage's unit including the Viper ACR and Gallardo LP560-2. Surrounding them all though are some of the finest Japanese cars from the mkIV Supra, to R34 Skyline, RX7 and Acura NSX; plus an Aventador SV, Hummer, Mercedes 190 E, BMW E30 M3... and of course the car we've come to see. The Ferrari 458 Challenge is of course originally based on the design of the 458 Italia, except for Ferrari's one make series it is converted extensively with a racing chassis setup and everything that comes with it. We're talking the interior being totally stripped bare for the track, combined with the dampers, suspension, huge wing, wheels etc. Of course in order to drive it on the road the slick tyres have to be removed and replaced with a more conventional option and the ride height slightly raised for the bumps, but everything else is just about as per how it would run on a racetrack. I've driven some unusual cars, even some unusual Ferraris, but this was up there with the best driving experiences; of course literally with the race car feel on the road - something you just don't get in a watered down road car. As a daily driver though... no thanks!
