Vânătoarea de strigoi - Cazul Petre Toma

The Petre Toma case — the most documented case of vampire hunting in modern Europe. In February 2004, in a village of 700 people in southern Romania, six men dug up the body of a 76-year-old former teacher. They removed his heart with a pitchfork. They burned it at a crossroads. And gave the ashes mixed with water to sick relatives to drink. They were arrested, tried, and convicted. But no one in the village thought they had done anything wrong.
