Over 2 million women in Poland are unemployed and have no intention of seeking employment. We are among the inglorious leaders in Europe in this regard. Women's professional activity in our country is at rock bottom. The same is true for the birth rate. Are these two issues related? Of course. Just look at how the system makes it difficult for Polish women to return to work after maternity leave. Today, mothers are not perceived as good employees. Interestingly, the opposite is true for fathers – their professional activity increases significantly after the birth of a child. Today's topic is not one frequently discussed in the mainstream media. However, this doesn't make it any less important. On the contrary – the state should focus on activating the millions of women who have simply given up on life in our country.
