How to Code Microcontrollers for Gaming Applications. Full Instructions & Code Examples for Download

Hi there and a very warm welcome back to DIY Gaming Electronics. In my last video, Part 1 of 2, I provided information about Arduino microcontrollers and showed you how they could be used as external gaming devices I also said, as the next step forward, that I would show you how to write a couple of Arduino sketch codes, that would set up a microcontroller as either a human interface device, or another type of device that could send keyboard commands to PC’s and gaming applications alike. So in today’s video, Part 2 of 2, that’s exactly what we’re going to do and the idea will be to connect a single momentary pushbutton to a microcontroller and use that pushbutton to do two things:- Firstly, we’ll assign it to a specific function ‘live’ within a gaming application of choice and second, we’ll use the pushbutton to send a keyboard command into that same gaming application.
