How to Rehab Your Hip Flexors (Psoas and Iliacus)
Today’s video covers exercises to rehab your hip flexors, which include the psoas major, iliacus and rectus femoris muscles. The hip flexors act to pull the femur or thigh bone forward and are functionally important during walking and running. Even though these muscles are involved in many functional tasks, most people don’t have exercises in their gym program that strengthen them. Instead, people spend most of their time working their hip extensors (glutes), but we need to also include the hip flexors to create balance around the hip joint.
