Litter Pick 16: Fly Tipping, Bins & Fire Extinguishers! #clean #litter #environment

Just to put this video into context: Initially we had intended on doing a local pick but Darren was going to film some shorts. It became apparent however that after discovering some fly tipping no further than a few hundred yards from our home that this was to be a full video and one that nearly broke us. Our spirit to keep the community clean was tested to the max, the fly tipping, dumped wheelie bins, litter floating (or stuck) in an icy canal and the same areas we walk time after time all begged the question: Why? Why do we bother? We were pretty deflated with it all this particular Sunday. The one thing that keeps us doing this the most is the positive comments we receive whilst out and about during the picks and the feedback we get from fellow pickers and followers here and on other platforms. Our community, nature and wildlife are another pretty good reason to continue our quest for a cleaner space to thrive. Our small channel on YouTube in our small part of the world are pretty irrelevant in the scheme of what's going on right now but somehow it means a lot more to us. By the way, the fly tipping was collected a couple of days later by the local council and the scarf we found was actually a large shawl which has been washed and will be donated to a charity.
