Scotland Being Scotland | Sailing From Leverburgh - Berneray With Calmac

#timstravels #calmac #scotland The Outer Hebrides are among the most beautiful and windswept islands in the UK. With stunning beaches and rugged mountains they are well worth visiting. In this video I take the ferry from Leverburgh on the Isle of Harris to Berneray. Berneray is the gateway to North Uist via a causeway which connects the two islands. The vessel I’m sailing on in this video mv Loch Bhrusda, operated by Calmac, is named after a loch located on the island of Berneray. She was constructed by McTay Marine specifically for this route although, at the time of recording, she is classed as a relief vessel. Filmed Saturday 28th February 2026.
